I started playing paintball in 2000 and slowly transitioned to airsoft in 2002, playing in the woods with springers and using ski goggles for eye protection. I acquired my first AEG in 2004, and attended my first open play at a “real” field in Western NY in 2008. I moved to Long Island after finishing college in 2013, and became fast friends with the other members of TFA during the summer of 2017. I enjoy outdoor fields with a milsim ruleset. I’m also a firm believer that radios and communication are the most important weapon when playing airsoft.
Started Playing Airsoft: 2002
Joined TFA: 2017
Callsign: Tall Guy
First Airsoft Gun: XM177 Springer
First AEG: Tokyo Marui FAMAS
Favorite Camo Pattern: Rhodesian Brushstroke
Favorite Event: American MilSim – Black Site at Fort McClellan in Anniston, AL (November 2017)
I’ve recently moved to the Redline N7 Milsim platform for both my rifles. I never shoot full-auto (most “milsim” fields and events have this rule for riflemen nowadays) and I dislike having to deal with batteries. Additionally, I find that closed-bolt HPA engines are slightly more accurate. Additionally, I have a strong dislike for remote lines, so I use the Redline AirStock.
